Sensory Processing and executive Functioning

 Every behavior has a reason behind it. Often, the answer can be found in two critical puzzle pieces: signals and skills. The brain needs signals that help it recognize what is important, and it needs skills to respond effectively. When we understand whether a child is struggling with the signals they're receiving, the skills they have available, or a combination of both, we can choose supports that address the root cause rather than simply reacting to the behavior.
